In addition some customers book online believing they have paid a fully inclusive price only to be lumbered with additional charges when they arrive at the car rental depot to pick up their car. Included CDW Collision Damage Waiver also Referred to as LDW Loss Damage Waiver |
Collision Damage Waiver, also called Loss Damage Waiver is included in your rental and is valid as long as the terms of the rental contract are not violated. CDW / LDW protects the renter from financial responsibility if the car should be stolen, vandalised or damaged in any way, regardless of fault. Complete details are available at the time of rental.

Included LIS Liability Insurance Supplement and UMP Uninsured Motorist Protection (Also called EP Extended Protection). |
In many countries it is required by law that the car insurance must indicate unlimited third party coverage. In the USA this is not the case. Each state establishes a minimum level of coverage required by law and this may be as low as US$5000.
LIS covers you for liability to the third parties or bodily injuries and property damage only (not rental vehicle) resulting from an auto accident in a rental vehicle, to the maximum total protection of US$1million. Under EP cover, your third party cover is US$1million and also provides coverage up to US$1million to the driver and passengers in the rental vehicle against death or injury caused by the driver of another vehicle who is under insured, uninsured or who commits a hit and run offence (under - uninsured motorist protection - UMP).

This is not included and is entirely optional. It is available locally for an additional charge. This cover is for accident indemnity, accident medical expenses and emergency medical evacuation, death and dismemberment, repatriation of remains and personal effects. This would normally be covered under your personal holiday insurance. You will need to check your personal holiday insurance prior to departure and if you are already covered you will not need this additional insurance offered at the rental depot.

Airports charge rental companies extra for having a depot on the airport and this charge is passed on to the customer as a premium location tax.
